Vin Diesel Confirms Thor: Love and Thunder Will Feature the Guardians of the Galaxy

Vin Diesel just spoiled the appearance of fan-favorite characters in Thor: Love and Thunder.

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 was originally set for release before Thor: Love and Thunder. However, the situation is now flipped because of James Gunn's firing and him directing The Suicide Squad for Warner Bros.

We last saw Thor in Avengers: Endgame along with the Guardians as they try to find the 2014 Gamora. Although Thor was already set to ride out with them and that fans will see more of their adventures together in the threequel for Guardians of the Galaxy, but it looks like the Thor sequel will incorporate the heroes instead.

In a recent interview with ComicBook.com to promote his upcoming Bloodshot movie, Vin Diesel, who provides the voice of Groot, confirmed that the Guardians will be featured in Love and Thunder. "I am waiting and excited for my friend James Gunn to knock this next one out of the park," he said. "He took The Suicide Squad so he's about to embark on it. Thor will also, the director talked to me about Thor will incorporate some of the Guardians of the Galaxy."

Although some fans saw this coming, this is the first time we've had this news confirmed, so Diesel basically spoiled the fact that the heroes will be in the Thor sequel. "That'll be very interesting," the actor added. "Nobody knows, maybe I shouldn't have said something."

There you have it, Chris Hemsworth's Thor will be continuing his status as an Asgardian of the Galaxy in the 2021 film. While the Guardians will be present in the movie, it is likely that it won't focus too much on them because the story will be exploring Jane Foster's journey as the new Thor.

Thor: Love and Thunder is set for release on November 5, 2021.
