Veteran Game Story Writer Chris Avellone Is Working on Respawn’s Star Wars Game

Fans are expecting a lot from Respawn's upcoming Star Wars game. Without any other Star Wars titles in development at EA, Star Wars gamers have been putting their hopes on a Respawn and its new project.

Luckily it seems like veteran game writer Chris Avellone is there to guide Jedi: The Fallen Order, taking to Twitter to confirm his part in the upcoming third-person action/adventure as well as tease another major project.

"I can't say 100% b/c of NDAs, but the ones I can say: I just finished up work with Jedi: The Fallen Order - and beyond that, there's another big bomb dropping in a month! Er, I mean, maybe. Ahem," Avellone wrote in response to a fan who'd been asking what projects he had been working on besides Dying Light 2.

For those who aren't familiar with Avellone and his work, the game writer worked on projects like Fallout: New Vegas, Planescape: Torment, Neverwinter Nights 2, Icewind Dale, and Baldur's Gates. Avellone's also has some experience with Star Wars games working on Knights of the Old Republic 2.

Though Avellone doesn't give away too many details in his tweet, the game writer's Linkedin profile shows that he's been working on Respawn's Star Wars game for about 11 months. According to the profile, Avellone worked on the story, the game's story and character reviews, as well as its cinematic scripts. Given his experience as a story writer, we're pretty sure that Jedi: The Fallen Order is in good hands.

Hopefully, we'll be able to get more details about the game as it approaches its release.
