After proving to be a box-office success, Sony will be pushing forward with a Venom sequel. And while details have always been kept under wraps regarding the upcoming movie, it looks like Tom Hardy might have teased us about it earlier than expected.
The actor recently made a post on his Instagram account which shows a black-and-white photo of him in what seems to be his make-up chair. Along with the image is the caption, "W#'R'V30M2 day one," which highly suggests that the movie has already started its production.
That being said, Hardy actually deleted the post. Most probably because the studio doesn't want to reveal anything, FOR NOW. Fortunately, even though the actor took down the photo, a Redditor was able to get a screenshot of the post. You can check it out below.

Discussing Film speculated that filming for Venom 2will start in November, specifically, on the 18th. Surprisingly, production started earlier than expected. Hardy's post actually lines up with the film's speculated release date, which is on October 2, 2020. This is possible since the first movie made its premiere on October 5, 2018.
Ruben Fleischer won't be directing the sequel though. Black Panther star Andy Serkis will be in charge of the upcoming movie and fans can't wait to see his take on the character. Kelly Marcel will be returning to write the script, and Michelle Williams is expected to reprise her role as well.
Venom 2 is yet to have a release date.
