Deborah Ann Woll recently teased Karen Page's future in the MCU after the third season of Daredevil: Born Again.
We recently learned that the hit MCU show is ending its run in the upcoming season that will air next year. Fans have been wondering what's next for the characters in the series and whether they will make more appearances in other MCU projects.
What's Next for Karen Page After Daredevil: Born Again Ends Next Year
In a recent interview with ComicBook.com, Deborah Ann Woll opened up about her reaction when she learned that Daredevil: Born Again will end in its upcoming third season.
She shared that she was more ready for the series to end in the third season, unlike the original Netflix run, where the cancellation surprised them.
"I mean, I think the first time we were canceled, we really didn’t know it was coming, right? Like, that third season of the Netflix one is my favorite of the three. And I thought it was really a high point in the series, and we fully expected to come back and do more," she said.
"So I didn’t really get to say goodbye, and that felt like the rug being pulled out from under us. This one? You know, you’re never sure, but I think we all sort of felt like this was the last one… as we were wrapping things up.
Woll continued, "And so, you know, I stole something from the set, and I hugged everybody I wanted to hug. And I will say this: having played a character over twelve years, you get to see someone go through such different stages of their life. And I really appreciated that they let the story take that change."
In terms of Karen Page's future in the MCU, Page did not share any details, but she is ready to make more appearances as her character, and emphasized that the decision is up to Marvel.
"Look, in Marvel, sometimes you’re totally done, and someone else takes your role, and you’re completely replaced, and they move on. And sometimes they bring you back over and over and over again – and then sometimes you think you’re totally done, and then they do a Spider-Man movie with all three of them, you know?" she said
"So there’s just no way to know. And I think I love this character. And as long as the writing continues to be faithful to who she is, I’m game. But again, that is for someone else to decide."
For now, fans should wait for news in the future regarding what's next for the Daredevil: Born Again characters in the MCU, and hopefully they will be an integral part of the next saga.
