Disney+ has officially launched and with it comes a long list of upcoming new films and series from big names like Star Wars and in this case, the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Given the release of the streaming device, the MCU has also begun filming for its upcoming show The Falcon and The Winter Soldier in Atlanta and thanks to JustJared, we now have a first look at Sebastian Stan on set.
Although the photos do not show the 37-year-old actor in his iconic Winter Soldier suit, he has noticeably had a haircut. Sporting a clean-cut unlike his long hair in his portrayal of Bucky Barnes in the franchise's previous installments, Stan is wearing a suave black leather jacket in the photos.
Although the set photos do not provide much context, previous reports have placed the series' timeline after the events of Avengers: Endgame and will follow Stan's Winter Soldier and Anthony Mackie's Falcon as the latter faces challenges from the United States government upon his assumption of the role of Captain America.
We may be able to pick up more clues as more set photos surface online, but judging from these current ones we have now and the Winter Soldier's still murky plot for the show, we could perhaps assume that these are for scenes with Barnes undercover. But then again, we'll just have to wait and see for ourselves.
The series will also star Emily VanCamp as Sharon Carter, Wyatt Russell as John Walker, and the debut of Daniel Bruhl as the highly-anticipated Baron Zemo. The Falcon and The Winter Soldier is set to premiere sometime in the Fall of 2020, while Marvel's Phase 4 is set to open on May 1, 2020 with the release of Black Widow in cinemas worldwide.
