Van Helsing Reboot is Definitely Happening with This New Scriptwriter

The monster slayer Van Helsing is being eyed for a potential reboot. And while we've been receiving sad news, such as the 100% not-happening update for Hellboy 3, it seems that this reboot has bigger chances of seeing production.

A new report from The Tracking Board revealed that Universal has tapped Dan Mazeau, responsible for the script in Wrath of the Titans, as a potential scribe for the Van Helsing reboot.

Mazeau isn't alone in the project. Originally, the script had been in the hands of Eric Heisserer, best known for his work in Arrival and Lights Out. From the looks of it, Mazeau may be taking over the project, though details are still under tight wraps.

What's more, the script that Mazeau will be continuing the script, which has already gone through Heisserer and Jon Spaihts (Doctor Strange), so that's also something to look forward to.

What is known is that Alex Kurtzman and Chris Morgan are both onboard the project as the producers of the film. Mazeau has also been already part of the writers pool for the monsters universe, and it seems that he has been involved with the project under wraps as well as early as September last year.

Hugh Jackman had originally played the titular role in the movie back in 2004, but to date, there are no confirmed actors who will be taking up the part.
