Say Goodbye to Any Hellboy 3 Plans

Looks like that poll from director Guillermo del Toro was for naught after all.

Even after the poll that del Toro had unleashed on Twitter reached over 100,000 in support of Hellboy 3, as well as the reported sit-down with actor Ron Perlman in January, it seems that the project can only go on for so long the creators' passion and the fans' patronage.

The director took to Twitter once more to announced the sad news. And this time, from the looks of it, this will be the final word on the matter, with no chance of revival despite the effort.

Some fans expressed their dismay, dubbing it "the worst news ever." There was a cute response who's still holding out for a chance, however slim that may be. Del Toro has not yet provided any more information other than his tweet, but from it's possible that the talks expected to take the project off the ground just didn't work out.

Other fans who may have been following the journey of that Hellboy 3 may have also known to temper their expectations. Back in October of 2016, actor Ron Perlman has already hinted that a third run seems very unlikely.

Perlman had already mentioned that talks about the project have already stopped. Their busy schedules didn't really help, as Perlman had been tagged for Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, while del Toro himself had his own projects to pursue.

Still, as one fan suggested, there's still a chance to continue Hellboy's story in another form besides a movie. Whether that will happen, I guess we'll just have to hope even without proof or anything to go on with.
