Valkyrie Won't Have Interactions with the Guardians of the Galaxy in Thor: Love and Thunder

In just less than a month, MCU's highly-anticipated film Thor: Love and Thunder will arrive in theaters. Alongside the long-awaited arrival of Natalie Portman's Lady Thor and Christian Bale's Gorr The God Butcher, the upcoming film will also highlight monumental returns of fan-beloved characters including Valkyrie and the Guardians of the Galaxy. However, it looks like the new King of Asguard and the defenders of the universe sadly won't meet in the upcoming film.

"Well I didn't... I just came to set to watch, because I wasn't in any of the Guardian stuff and I don't remember which of them said it to me, but someone asked me, 'Is it always like this?' I was like, 'Yes, it is...'" Thompson told Fandango. "I think what you were saying Taika. I think it's like... we're used to a certain level of chaos. Like existing in a certain level of chaos because there's always like the version that's on the page and then... we throw that out and do a bunch... that we know probably... 95% of it will never get to be in the film, but you do it for the 5% that can live there."

Although it's undeniably heartbreaking that two fan-favorite characters won't share screentime together in the upcoming film, it looks like Valkyrie will instead be occupied with Natalie Portman's Jane Foster, who is now confirmed to wield the Mjolnir as Lady Thor. Based on the recent trailer, Valkyrie and Lady Thor were seen sitting on a throne, making fun of Hemsworth's Thor.

With the Guardians of the Galaxy's involvement in Thor: Love and Thunder, it must be a wise decision to separate the group and go on their own adventure. Nevertheless, Taika Waititi won't surely feature an ensemble cast and don't give them a notable character arc. Despite not having a scene together, both Valkyrie and the Guardians of the Galaxy will certainly have their own thrilling adventures.

Thor: Love and Thunder will hit the big screens on July 8.
