Valiant Reveals First look at Live-Action X-O Manowar in Costume

The Valiant comic universe is getting a live-action version, and the company has revealed the first live-action look at its biggest character, X-O Manowar.

Earlier this week, Dinesh Shamdasani, CEO and chief creative officer at Valiant Entertainment, tweeted out the first photo of the live-action X-O Manowar, played by Derek Theler (Baby Daddy). If you're familiar with the comics, you know that his casting is great, and the costume looks awesome. Check it out:

Theler is playing X-O Manowar, pretty much the "Iron Man of Valiant comics". He's a Viking warrior-turned-space knight, one of Valiant Entertainment's superheroes who will be featured in the upcoming series, Ninjak Vs. the Valiant Universe. The series was originally set to release in 2017 but since 2018 is only days away, it's unlikely that the series will be out before the new year hits. However, Shamdasani tweeted that it will be released "soon."

Directed by Aaron Schoenke (Super Power Beat Down), Ninjak vs the Valiant stars Derek Theler as X-O Manowar, Michael Rowe as Colin King/Ninjak, Jason David Frank as Bloodshot, John Hennigan as The Eternal Warrior, Ciera Foster as Livewire, Chantelle Barry as Roku, Kevin Porter as Armstrong, Alex Meglei as Archer, Damion Poitier as Shadowman, and Craig Robert Young as Neville Alcott.
