Undead Unluck is the next Shonen Jump manga to get the anime treatment. After getting the spotlight at Anime Expo back in July, Undead Unluck got a new character trailer that revealed its official release date along with new voice cast members.
Previously, only the main voice cast of the series was known. But now, seven more cast members were shared, all of whom are popular VAs with a lot of popular roles.
Undead Unluck Anime Reveals More Voice Cast Members
Shonen Jump is one of the biggest shonen manga magazines, and it arguably has the most number of popular titles that became hit anime. After all, Jump is home to the likes of One Piece, Jujutsu Kaisen, and more.
After the Mashle anime aired in Spring 23, another Jump manga is getting the anime treatment, and it is Undead Unluck, the adventure-comedy series that began in January 2020.
Previously, it was confirmed that popular VA Yuichi Nakamura (Gojo in Jujutsu Kaisen) will voice Andy, one of the main characters. He is joined by Moe Kahara, a rookie VA who stars as the protagonist Fuuko Izumo.
Now, more voice cast members have been revealed, including:
- Mariya Ise (Himeno in Chainsaw Man) as Juiz
- Aoi Yuuki (Tsuyu Asui in My Hero Academia) as Gena
- Rie Kugimiya (Taiga Aisaka in Toradora!) as Tatiana
- Nobuhiko Okamoto (Rin Okumura in Blue Exorcist) as Top
- Koji Yusa (Gin Ichimaru in Bleach) as Nico Vorgeil
- Tomokazu Sugita (Gintoki Sakata in Gintama) as Apocalypse
- Rikiya Koyama (Kiritsugu Emiya in Fate/Zero) as Billy
Aside from these new VAs, another previously revealed cast member is Natsuki Hanae who voices Shen. Hanae is best known as the voice of Tanjiro Kamado in Demon Slayer and Ken Kaneki in Tokyo Ghoul.

Undead Unluck Character Trailer Confirms October Release Date
Undead Unluck is an action-packed shonen that follows Fuuko and Andy, an unlikely duo with powers that perfectly complement each other.
Fuuko is a young girl who has a power called “Unluck” which causes whomever she touches to die as she sucks up all their luck.
Meanwhile, Andy’s ability is “Undead” which allows him to regenerate and not die.
Handling animation duties for the series is David Production, a studio that’s no stranger to Shonen Jump. After all, the studio is best known for animating the JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure anime.
Undead Unluck will be released in Japan on October 6, 2023. In the US, the series will be streamed exclusively on Hulu, though there’s no specific release date for it yet.
