While fans were worried after the indefinite delay announcement, Uncle from Another World just confirmed the November release date of Episode 8.
The announcement was made via the anime’s official website and Twitter account. There, the new schedule for the anime was revealed, along with more new information.
The return of the show is great news as the anime has suffered two delays during its run, both of which are because of COVID cases within the studio.
Uncle from Another World was first delayed in late July due to COVID. But this first delay was only for two weeks, meaning the show made a successful return quickly. In the two-week break, the previous episodes were rebroadcast.
The second delay was announced last week. During its announcement, the studio said that the series was delayed indefinitely, likely because of more serious production issues due to COVID.
Now, it was finally confirmed that Uncle from Another World Episode 8 is set to release on November 24, provided there are no further delays.
Along with the show’s return date, it was also announced that the first seven episodes will be rebroadcast sequentially every week starting on the first week of October.
Here is the rebroadcast schedule per network:
- AT-X and BS11 - October 6
- Tokyo MX - October 7
- KBS Kyoto and Sun TV - October 8
- TV Aichi - October 11
Uncle from Another World (or Isekai Ojisan in Japanese) is an isekai TV anime by Atelier Pontdarc. It is based on the ongoing manga series of the same name by Hotondoshindeiru which has been serialized in ComicWalker since June 2018.
The story follows Takafumi Takaoka, a college student who picks up his uncle who had just awakened from a 17-year-long coma. His uncle’s coma happened after he was hit by a truck.
Takafumi soon discovers that his uncle has magical abilities due to being sent to another world while in his coma. Because of this, Takafumi decided to take his uncle to his apartment and help him adjust to modern life.
In the process, Takafumi can see some of his uncle’s memories during his time in the other world.
Uncle from Another World will return on November 24, 2022.
