UNC Star Armando Bacot to Appear in Netflix's Outer Banks Season 3

UNC star Armando Bacot is staying busy offseason, but not entirely with basketball. The 22-year-old Tarheels player just landed a role with Netflix's Outer Banks, the popular adventure teen drama set in the Outer Banks of North Carolina, and he's been on set with John B. (Chase Stokes) himself.

Bacot was seen on the set in Charleston, South Carolina with stars Chase Stokes and Rudy Pankow, who plays JJ Maybanks on the show. The breakout North Carolina center will reportedly appear in a few episodes as a character named "Mando", according to Inside Carolina, but he was doesn't have permission to share many details about his role.

On Wednesday, Bacot also shared a photo on his Instagram story Stokes and Pankow for the third season of the teen drama.

The caption to the post simply said, 'on set.'

Two of OBX's co-creators, brothers Jonas Pate and Josh Pate, are North Carolina natives, and the latter as well as the other co-creator Shannon Burke are UNC alums.

Now, one of the biggest questions is if Bacot is a Pogue or Kook, but it looks like the 6'10", 240-lb. baller is enjoying his time on the set of the Netflix hit series. The UNC star was injured late in UNC's 81-77 win against Duke in the national semifinal, but returned to play in the national championship against Kansas.
