Are John B. and Sarah Cameron dating again in real life?
The Pogues will soon return back to our screens when Netflix's Outer Banks returns for Season 3, and while the show still has a lot of mysteries unsolved, there's one big question fans have been asking since a viral set photo was shared earlier this month: Are stars Madelyn Cline and Chase Stokes back together?
In November 2021, Us Weekly reported that Cline and Stokes — who celebrated their one-year anniversary in April 2021 — had split up after months of speculation surrounding their relationship status. A source told People: "They were trying to work things out privately but broke up a couple of months ago.”
The couple rose to fame following the premiere of Outer Banks in April 2020 and confirmed their real-life relationship in June of that year.
In February 2021, Chase told Us Weekly: “It was just always work-oriented — really until the day we wrapped. It wasn’t until after that, until we started to kind of get into the lockdown where we were like, ‘Is there something here or am I crazy?’ That’s sort of where it bloomed from there. I think we were just so invested in the work.”
He added, “The biggest thing for me is being even more proud of her work now as her partner and watching her grow as an actress and watching her grow as a person through this.”

In February 2022, Netflix shared two photos on the Outer Banks show's official Instagram account and other official media channels.
“It was our start of filming,” Cline explained the photos to Us Weekly.
Are Madelyn Cline and Chase Stokes back together in 2022?
Following last year's rumors, a source told Entertainment Tonight in December 2021 that “both felt like they were trying to force themselves into being single” after their break-up.
“Madelyn and Chase care about one another. They felt like they had to be apart to get back on track and be together in the future,” the insider explained. “Their relationship was very serious before and right now, they’re slowly easing back into things and giving it another try. They’re not full on back together, but they’re taking it slow and seeing where things go.”
Neither Cline nor Stokes has spoken publicly of their relationship status thus far, so for now, there is no confirmation that the two are back together in real life, but it looks like their OBX characters, John B. and Sarah Cameron are still going strong after their split-up in Season 2 - at least at the beginning of Season 3.
When W Magazine asked Cline how it's like working opposite her ex, she said, "We’re both professionals. We always have been since day one. Outer Banks is a big family, and at the end of the day, we show up, we’re professional, and we do our jobs."
Is Madelyn Cline dating someone else?
After her break-up from Chase, fans speculated that the OBX star went on to date Zack Bia, however the DJ denied the claims.
“We are not dating. We hang out all the time,” Zack said during an episode of the BFFs with Dave Portnoy and Josh Richards podcast on January 13, 2022, when asked if he and Madelyn were more than friends.
Romance rumors claiming that Madelyn Cline is dating Olivia Jade Giannulli‘s ex-boyfriend Jackson Guthy have been circulated lately. In late May 2022, a now-viral Tiktok video showed the Outer Banks star attending a wedding with Jackson seemingly as her date. “He’s a singer and Olivia jade’s ex as well,” the caption says. “Wonder if him and Madelyn are a thing or just friends!?”
Shortly after the Tiktok video got viral, Instagram gossip account DeuxMoi weighed in on the romance rumors, sharing an anonymous tip via Instagram stories that read, “I have it on very good authority that Madelyn Cline is dating Jackson Guthy.” The post also showed a subject line that read, “Wedding pics were a tip off.”
As rumors spread further, the pair were also photographed getting lunch together in Malibu. Neither the Outer Banks actress nor the musician have confirmed the romance rumors.

Now that we know about the status of Chase Stokes and Madelyn Cline's real-life relationship, fans are wondering if their characters will be romantically together in the next season of Outer Banks.
When asked about John B. and Sarah Cameron's relationship status in Outer Banks Season 3, star Madelyn Cline told E! News, "My lips are sealed. I will say nothing. I think anticipation is one of the best things about being in the off-season. I get so excited myself to even get a new script. I can't wait for everyone to experience that."
Netflix's Outer Banks Season 3 recently wrapped filming in South Carolina. The streaming giant has yet to announce a release date for the new season, but it's expected to arrive in 2023.
