TXT, or TOMORROW X TOGETHER, reached a new milestone on Billboard’s chart, Billboard 200.

TXT officially dropped its newest album, The Name Chapter: Temptation, on Jan. 27 at 2 pm KST. It served as the follow-up album to the boy group’s The Chaos Chapter in 2021.

The new album features five tracks, including its title track Sugar Rush Ride.

Only a few days after its release, the song scored its first No. 1 spot on the Billboard 200 albums chart.

TXT Makes It To Billboard 200’s No. 1 Spot

On Sunday, Billboard confirmed that TXT’s The Name Chapter: Temptation scored the top spot on its Billboard 200 dated Feb. 11.

The website cited Luminate’s data and revealed that the album earned 161,500 equivalent album units in the US in the week ending Feb. 2. The album ultimately became TXT’s third top 10-charting album following Minisode 2: Thursday’s Child (No. 4 in 2022) and The Chaos Chapter: Freeze (No. 5 in 2021).

The Billboard 200 chart ranks the most popular albums in the US using the data it received from Luminate. After TXT’s The Name Chapter: Temptation dominated the chart, it also outshined SZA’s SOS, which currently stands at No. 2 after spending seven weeks at the top spot.

With the boy group’s recent achievement, it also made its management agency, BigHit Music, to become the only K-pop agency to chart two or more teams it manages on the chart.

TXT became the fifth K-pop group to reach the milestone, following BTS, SupeM, Stray Kids and BLACKPINK.

TXT Sells 2 Million Copies of The Name Chapter: Temptation

Before Billboard’s announcement, The Name Chapter: Temptation scored another recognition when it sold 1.8 million copies on the first day of its release. It also recorded 200,000 copies on the second day, bringing the count to 2 million album sales.

The Name Chapter: Temptation is TXT’s first album to reach the 2 million mark. Previously, Minisode 2: Thursday Child recorded 1.2 million album sales in its first week of release.

The boy group followed BTS, SEVENTEEN and Stray Kids as the only K-pop boy groups to have a million-seller album within the first week.
