Twenty Five Twenty One Episode 12 Recap
Twenty Five Twenty One Episode 12 sees Hee-do and Yu-rim supporting their distraught teammate, Yeji, as she makes a difficult decision to quit fencing. Their coach thinks the opposite and assumes that she is only experiencing a slump.
So to have permission to leave the fencing team, Yeji should qualify for the quarterfinals. Hee-do and Yu-rim help her train for the upcoming competition.
On the other hand, Seung-wan stands her ground when she witnesses their teacher abusing his authority. Seung-wan watches Ji-ung get beaten up to pulp by their teacher until she gets in between and calls the police.
However, the situation seems to not go in favor of Seung-wan as the police say they cannot do anything about it as the school should be the one to decide what to do with the complaint.
Seung-wan gets shocked by the response of the police and the school administration. The teacher pressures her to apologize to him and read an apology letter publicly with all the students listening.
Seung-wan believes that she did not do anything wrong and that she was just standing up for what she knows is right. She ignores the pressure to apologize for the things she did not do and decides to quit school.
Twenty Five Twenty One Episode 12 also highlights the reality of choices and doing what makes you happy.
Seung-wan leaves school even though she only has a couple of months before the college entrance exams. Yeji qualifies for the quarterfinals but is really firm with her decision to quit fencing.
Months later, Hee-do and Ji-ung take the college entrance exams. Seung-wan gets a perm and is currently doing well exploring what she wants to do. Yu-rim enters the national fencing team to earn money, while Yi-jin continues his job as a sports reporter.
Meanwhile, the start of a new millennium greets them, and although there was a theory that the world would end in 2000, Hee-do and Yu-jin stayed with each other and tried to redefine their relationship.
