In the leadup to the anime’s premiere, Tsukimichi -Moonlit Fantasy- Season 2 got a new trailer that revealed a bunch of new characters and their respective voice actors.
Shortly after the anime’s first season ended in September 2021, the show was confirmed to get a second season, though it took some time before details were revealed.
Tsukimichi -Moonlit Fantasy- Season 2 Reveals 10 New Cast Members
Tsukimichi -Moonlit Fantasy- is an isekai anime based on the light novel series by Kei Azumi.
Instead of following a protagonist who sets out to save the new world he finds himself in, this series follows Makoto Misumi as he aims to build a new civilization in his new world where all sorts of beings can coexist.
For this new season, it was confirmed that previous cast members from Season 1 are returning.
These include Natsuki Hanae (Tanjiro in Demon Slayer), Ayane Sakura (Yotsuba Nakano in The Quintessential Quintuplets), and more.
Recently, 10 new characters in Season 2 were revealed along with their respective VAs. The new cast members include:
- Ai Kakuma (Eris Boreas Greyrat in Mushoku Tensei) as Hibiki Otonashi
- Ami Koshimizu (Holo in Spice and Wolf) as Navarre Polar
- Yuji Murai (Naruse in Skip and Loafer) as Woody Baila
- Chiharu Sawashiro (Bobby Ball in High Card) as Belda Nortst Limia
- Nao Tamura (Chika Amatori in World Trigger) as Chiya Hazuki
- Ryohei Arai (Tasuku Kuresawa in Sasaki and Miyano) as Tomoki Iwahashi
- Mai Nakahara (Haruno Yukinoshita in OreGairu) as Lily Front Gritonia
- Sayumi Watabe (Eleonore Bianca in The Misfit of Demon King Academy) as Guinevere Shlesha
- Ami Tsukishiro (Furena in Edens Zero) as Mora
- Natsue Sasamoto (Ceto in Leviathan: The Last Defense) as Yukinatsu Kazusa

Tsukimichi -Moonlit Fantasy- Season 2 Gets New Trailer
These new characters were also highlighted in the latest Tsukimichi anime trailer.
Here, fans are treated to new clips of the anime that should ease concerns about the studio change.
Season 1 was animated by studio C2C. But for the new season, popular studio J.C.Staff (of Food Wars! and DanMachi fame) is handling animation duties.

Tsukimichi -Moonlit Fantasy- Season 2 will be released in January 2024 as part of the year’s Winter anime lineup.
As the first season was streamed on Crunchyroll, it’s likely that this next one will also be available there.
Unlike the first season, Tsukimichi Season 2 will run for two consecutive cours, meaning it will have over 20 episodes.
