Tsukimichi is back, and with it comes renewed interest in the manga. Thus, many are wondering about the release schedule of the Tsukimichi: Moonlit Fantasy manga.
While the manga began serialization back in 2015, the series only became available officially in English back in July 2021.
The manga’s English release was likely done to coincide with the anime’s first season, which premiered in the same month.
Tsukimichi Returns with a New Anime Season
Tsukimichi: Moonlit Fantasy is an isekai light novel series by Kei Azumi that began back in 2013. The light novels were adapted into a manga in 2015, followed by an anime in 2021.
The anime’s first season aired during the summer 21 season, and it was animated by C2C, the studio behind Otaku Elf and Shangri-La Frontier.
It took a while, but the series finally got a new season in winter 24, though the original studio did not return. Instead, the new season is being produced by J.C.Staff (of DanMachi and Edens Zero fame).
Despite the new staff, the first season’s voice cast returned, including Natsuki Hanae (Tanjiro in Demon Slayer) and Ayane Sakura (Gabi Braun in Attack on Titan).
Tsukimichi: Moonlit Fantasy Manga Release Schedule Explained
The anime is getting new episodes weekly, but for those who can’t wait, the manga is still ongoing. Sadly, it takes a while before new chapters are released.
Unlike many manga titles that are serialized in magazines, the Tsukimichi manga is published on AlphaPolis, a Japanese manga website.
As for its release schedule, the Tsukimichi: Moonlit Fantasy manga only gets a new chapter every month. Typically, new chapters are released on the second Wednesday of the month in Japan.
Of course, there are times when no new chapter is released in a month, as is the case with other ongoing manga.

Where to Read the Tsukimichi Manga in English
Even though the monthly wait for a new chapter is quite long, fans at least have an official way of reading the manga in English.
Since July 2021, the Tsukimichi manga’s new chapters have been released officially in English through Alpha Manga. This is the online manga platform that’s owned by AlphaPolis.
Aside from Alpha Manga, Tsukimichi is also available in an ebook version via Amazon, where it is released in volumes.
In the meantime, the anime’s second season gets new episodes every week, which are streamed on Crunchyroll in the US and other select regions.
