Ranking of Kings: The Treasure Chest of Courage Announces English Dub Release Date

Following the show’s premiere on April 14, Crunchyroll announced the English dub release date and cast for Ranking of Kings: The Treasure Chest of Courage.

While some English dub versions of ongoing anime get released after the season has ended, the new Ranking of Kings anime is getting its English dub with a delay of just a bit over two weeks.

Ranking of Kings: The Treasure Chest of Courage English Dub Cast Returns

For the new Ranking of Kings anime, the first season’s main cast returns, including the voices of Bojji, Kage, Despa, and the narrator.

Specifically, the English dub VAs include:

• Bojji – Emily Fajardo (Sota Hori in Horimiya)
• Kage – SungWon Cho aka ProZD (Kajinosuke Tanikaze in Record of Ragnarok)
• Despa – Christopher Sabat (Roronoa Zoro in One Piece)
• Narrator – Ben Phillips (Narrator in Spy x Family)

Also revealed are the staff members, including ADR director Caitlin Glass, ADR engineer Paul Cline, scriptwriter Ben Philips (who also serves as the Narrator), and script supervisor Jarrod Greene, among others.

For reference, the Japanese language version also features the same main cast as the anime’s first season.

These include Minami Hinata (Subaru Nanyo in Pole Princess!!) as Bojji, Ayumu Murase (Shoyo Hinata in Haikyuu!!) as Kage, and Takahiro Sakurai (Suguru Geto in Jujutsu Kaisen) as Despa.

For now, the other members of the English voice cast have yet to be revealed, though they will likely be announced as more episodes of the show get released.

Treasure Chest of Courage English Dub Release Date

While it was billed as a special episode, it turns out that Treasure Chest of Courage is a multi-episode series featuring side stories that weren’t covered in the first season.

This means the ongoing anime is not the proper Season 2 for Ranking of Kings. Though it should still be a must-watch for fans of the first season especially as Wit Studio returned to animate it.

For now, there’s no word yet on Ranking of Kings Season 2, but given that this spinoff was released just a year after the first season, there’s a good chance it will be renewed.

Treasure Chest of Courage's English dub will be released today, April 27, on Crunchyroll.

If you can’t wait, Crunchyroll is now streaming the first two episodes in Japanese.

As for the manga, it was announced recently that the Ranking of Kings manga will get a retranslation soon in English.
