Transformers 6 Adds Project Power Star Dominique Fishback as Female Lead

It looks like the new Transformers movie is officially in development. A new report confirms that Project Power star Dominique Fishback has just been cast as the female lead in the next Autobots film.

Deadline confirms that Fishback will be joining Hamilton star Anthony Ramos in the still-untitled Transformers 6. Although her character was not revealed, it was reported that Fishback will play one of the lead roles in the movie.

Details about the upcoming Transformers film have not yet been announced. However, it was stated that this is a completely different project from the one that will be helmed by Charm City Kings' Angel Manuel Soto and written by Marvel's The Defenders showrunner Marco Ramirez. This could mean we'll be looking forward to multiple projects from the franchise in the future.

Transformers 6 will be directed by Steven Caple Jr. for Paramount, eOne and Hasbro. Darnell Metayer and Josh Peters have been confirmed to work on the screenplay based on a script by Joby Harold.

Fishback played Robin opposite Jamie Foxx and Joseph Gordon-Levitt in Netflix's Project Power. She was nominated for a BAFTA Award for Best Actress in a Supporting Role for her performance as Deborah Johnson in Judas and the Black Messiah, which also starred Get Out actor Daniel Kaluuya.

Fishback was previously cast in the upcoming series The Last Days of Ptolemy Grey which will star Samuel L. Jackson and Walton Goggins. Stay tuned for more updates on this story.

Transformers 6 is already scheduled for release on June 24, 2022.
