There is little doubt that the sequel to Train to Busan is one of the most highly anticipated South Korean films to date. But what exactly can fans expect in the upcoming Yeon Sang-ho film? The first teaser for Train to Busan Presents: Peninsula reveals what happened to society amidst all the zombie chaos.

The trailer opens with a group of former soldiers slipping into a dark city where there appear to be no other people. However, the place is far from deserted. When one of the men (Gang Dong-won) looks at a seemingly empty platform, he realizes that there are hundreds of zombies trapped in the glass. Interestingly, the glass is the only thing standing between the men and the undead.

Although it is clear that zombies have overrun the city, it is also revealed that there are still some uninfected people trying to survive in the peninsula. Unfortunately, the undead are just one of their problems. At one point, it is confirmed that some have found a terrifying way to pass the time.

In one scene, a group of men are gathered in a building while others are watching them from above. Although it is unclear why these men were chosen, it is evident that they need to fight their way out of their situation as several zombies are unleashed on them.

There is plenty of action and zombies, confirming that Peninsula will be just as terrifying as Train to Busan. But can the survivors make it out of Seoul?

Train to Busan Presents: Peninsula has not yet been given an official release date although it is expected to premiere in August.
