Tom Holland Pitched To Studios About Playing Spider-Man For A Few Decades

A lot of fans were pretty pleased with Tom Holland's Spider-Man. Many branded his rendition of the character as one of the most comicbook accurate versions of the webslinger, considering his debut in Captain America: Civil War as one of the highlights of the Marvel movie. Now, as everyone patiently waits for Holland to return to the big screen in Spider-Man: Homecoming, Holland says he hopes to continue wearing Spider0Man's suit for the next few decades.

Taking the cover of Empire Magazine, Holland tells the publication that he already knows what he'd like to do with Spidey as the 15-year-old webslinger ages into 35 and that he's already taken his idea to the studios.

"Peter Parker is a character we see [in the comic books] as a 15-year-old boy and then as a 35-year-old man. So I have an idea of what I'd like to do, and I've pitched it and it's already been taken into the boardroom. It would be really cool if it pans out, because it means I would be Spider-Man for a very long time."

While Andrew Garfield and Tobey Maguire played a character far from their actual ages, Holland can pass off as a young highschool-aged Peter Parker despite being 20 years old. Because of this youthful appearance, Marvel and Sony could actually bank on Holland's Spiderman and have Peter grown along with the British star. Though fans have yet to see Holland's work on Homecoming, everyone would probably love to see the webslinging actor get his own trilogy. Let's wait and see what happens.

Spider-Man: Homecoming comes swinging into cinemas on July 7, 2017.
