Tom Holland Makes Another Winking Reference to Long Time Spider-Man: No Way Home Rumor

For months, fans have been speculating that Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield might be showing up in Spider-Man: No Way Home. After all, the villains from their Spider-Man films will be appearing in the movie so why not them? Until now, we still haven't got any confirmation even though there's a lot of evidence that suggests that it might be true.

Now, the speculations are ramping up even further thanks to Tom Holland's latest Instagram story where he posted a meme about buying a movie ticket with a photo of Tobey Maguire in his Spider-Man wrestling suit during the earlier part of the first Spider-Man film. You can view the screenshot here:

This comes after the Spider-Man: No Way Home tickets went on sale last Monday, which has now broken the record with the biggest pre-sales on Fandango since Avengers: Endgame. Of course, it's also a reference to the long-time rumor that Maguire and Garfield will be showing up in the film. Holland also made a reference to the rumor in a recently-released promo.

A lot of fans are convinced that Holland might be hinting in his story that Maguire is actually indeed in the film. Of course, we could say that it's just a harmless post, but with all the rumors and speculations which are being called the worst kept secret right now in Hollywood, you can't blame the fans for thinking that there is a double meaning behind it. So far, there's no outright confirmation from anyone involved in the film that Maguire and Garfield will be showing up. A lot of fans still believe in the rumor. We will be able to find out very soon if these long-time speculations are true whether it's on another trailer or during the actual release of the film.
