Remember when Chaos Walking kept getting pushed back? Despite having the star power of Tom Holland and Daisy Ridley, the film adaptation of Patrick Ness' novel was deemed "unreleasable" and had to be reshot several times in the past year. However, it looks like the movie finally scored a major win as it has just been given an official release date.

It looks like fans have been reaching out to Lionsgate begging the studio to release Chaos Walking for quite some time. Luckily, the official Lionsgate Twitter account has finally given people just what they want. Take a look at the tweet below.

It's still going to be a long wait for Chaos Walking but at least the film now has an official release date. Let's just hope that things don't change yet again for the movie.

Chaos Walking will star Holland as Todd Hewitt, a young man exploring a dystopian world where all women have died because of a virus and everyone can communicate through their thoughts. However, an encounter with a mysterious girl named Viola (Ridley) changes everything for Todd.

The adaptation was initially set to be released in March last year but was pushed back in favor of some major reshoots. This proved to be a problem since both Holland and Ridley were already busy working on their own major movies Spider-Man: Far From Home and Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker, respectively. Nevertheless, it's good to know that Chaos Walking will finally hit theaters next year.

Chaos Walking is scheduled for release on January 22, 2021.
