Tom Holland Admits Spider-Man MCU Exit Was The Most Stressful Time Of His Career

There is little doubt that fans were dismayed when Sony announced that it was taking Spider-Man out of the Marvel Cinematic Universe when the studio failed to make a new agreement with Disney earlier this year. However, Tom Holland has just admitted that the stress was even greater for him when he learned that his character would no longer be a part of the MCU.

Holland recently attended ACE Comic-Con where he confessed that the Spider-Man incident was the most stressful time of his life (via MCU Cosmic). Interestingly, the Spider-Man: Far From Home star admitted that the short-lived split was even more stressful than the time he had to prepare for the Lip Sync Battle where he sang and danced to Rihanna's Umbrella.

We can't really blame Holland for feeling the pressure when it was announced that Spider-Man would no longer appear in the MCU. After all, his casting as Peter Parker was a life-changing role that instantly endeared him to millions of fans. Luckily, Sony has since reversed their decision after renegotiations with Disney were more successful. Now fans (and Holland) can rest assured that Spider-Man 3 will be produced by Marvel Studios and Peter is expected to appear in at least one more MCU film.

For now, it is still unclear when Spider-Man 3 will begin production. In the meantime, Tom Hardy may have teased on the possibility that Holland will show up in Venom 2 when he posted a photo of himself dressed as Spider-Man and immediately deleted it. This could mean that Spider-Man will be a part of the MCU as well as Sony's own movies in the future.
