Tom Hiddleston Didn't Expect Loki Series After Avengers: Endgame

There is little doubt that everyone was expecting to see Loki return after what happened in Avengers: Endgame. However, there's one person who never thought that the God of Mischief will be back to get his own series. Tom Hiddleston has just admitted that he didn't expect his character to be back in a Marvel Cinematic Universe show.

In Endgame, Loki managed to get his hands on the Tesseract as future Iron Man and Ant-Man tried to take it. As soon as he got the Infinity Stone, the God of Mischief disappeared and escaped to another dimension or timeline.

Naturally, fans loved the idea of Loki getting away from death one more time. However, Hiddleston told Entertainment Weekly that he was just curious about what happened to his character. "Where'd he go? When does he go? How does he get there? These are all questions I remember asking on the day, and then not being given any answers," he said.

Although his questions were not answered, Hiddleston never had a clue that Loki would be brought back. "I probably should not have been surprised, but I was," he said. "But only because Infinity War had felt so final."

Hiddleston is talking about Loki's death in Avengers: Infinity War, which was set to be the character's ending. However, the MCU finds ways to bring heroes and villains back so we'll get to see more of Loki soon.

Loki will premiere on Disney+ on June 9, 2021.
