Toby Regbo Admits He Teased Game Of Thrones Prequel Casting Last Year

The full cast of the Game of Thrones prequel has just been announced. However, it looks like Toby Regbo has previously teased about joining the highly anticipated series last year.

Regbo has just been confirmed to join Naomi Watts in the new HBO show. To celebrate, the Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald star shared an old tweet where he was asking his followers for "some good vibes" as he had just had "an important meeting." Interestingly, his supporters may have made the casting happen. Check out his post below.

"It worked," Regbo wrote along with a link to the Game of Thrones prequel cast announcement. Needless to say, some fans are already taking credit for getting the star of The Last Kingdom in the spin-off series.

Regbo will be reuniting with his Fantastic Beasts 2 co-star Jamie Campbell Bower in the new show. They will be joined by Naomi Ackie (Star Wars: Episode IX), Georgie Henley (The Chronicles of Narnia), Denise Gough (Angels in America), Sheila Atim (Harlots), Ivanno Jeremiah (Black Mirror), and Alex Sharp (To the Bone). For now, the roles of the above-mentioned actors have not yet been revealed.

The spin-off series was created by Jane Goldman and A Song of Ice and Fire author George R.R. Martin. SJ Clarkson (Jessica Jones) will direct the pilot episode, which has been given the tentative title The Long Night. Goldman will also serve as showrunner for the show.

Watts was the first star to be confirmed for the HBO series. Josh Whitehouse (Poldark) has also been cast in yet another mysterious role.
