Title For Avengers 4 Might Have Been Hidden In Age of Ultron

Joe and Anthony Russo might have wrapped up work on the reshoots for Avengers 4, however the official title of the sequel to Avengers: Infinity War continues to remain a secret despite the growing clamor from fans. Aching to learn more about what Avengers 4 has in store, some have been trying to guess the title of the upcoming Avengers movie, and it looks like one fan believes that a clue's been hiding in an older Avengers movie all along.

Taking to Reddit, a Marvel fan going by the name HelsenDian decided to point out a clue to the official title of Avengers 4 that he spotted while watching the second Avengers movie, Age of Ultron. In the scene where Vision (Paul Bettany) is born in the film, Thor (Chris Hemsworth) decides to use some of his lightning to bring life to the new character. However, the Avengers remain uncertain, asking themselves whether or not they can trust the person brought to life.

This is where we get our little hint, from Scarlet Witch (Elizabeth Olsen).

"I looked into your head and saw annihilation," she told him.

Fans have been taking this line as a reference to the future of the Mind Stone and the destruction and chaos that it would bring once it would find its way into Thanos' hand along with the other Infinity Stones.

Could Avengers: Annihilation be the official title of Infinity War's upcoming sequel?

It's been a popular guess, and some sites have backed up the title with reported sources. However, fans should remember that speculation remains speculation until Marvel confirms the title itself. So let's cross our fingers and wait and see.

Avengers 4 hits cinemas May 3, 2019.
