Titans Release Date Announced, New Images Released

The DC Universe streaming service finally has a release date and so does its first original show Titans. Oddly enough, while the service launches on September 15, Titans itself will launch on October 12 and will run for 12 episodes. Unlike a Netflix show, which dumps the complete season in one go, DC Universe will release one episode weekly. Just like a real TV show.

As if the release date wasn't enough, DC released new images of the show's characters and they look slightly better. Robin still looks fantastic and Beast Boy with the green skin is so much better than the previously leaked photos revealed. Unfortunately, Starfire still looks a bit off and it's mostly her outfit's fault, while Raven looks okay though a more comic book accurate look would have been nice.

Showing off the main cast is a smart move though since the best-looking characters of the show - Hawk and Dove - have recurring roles and won't be in every episode. It will be interesting to see if they eventually get their own show or get upgraded to series regulars for the next season, assuming it gets one of course.

Now we know when Titans will be coming to the DC Universe streaming service. Here is hoping that the series overcomes the first trailer, which wasn't terrible but could have been a lot better.
