Lewis Pullman remained coy on his rumored casting as Sentry in the upcoming MCU film Thunderbolts*.

A few months ago, we learned that the Top Gun: Maverick actor has been tapped to take over the role that was vacated by Steven Yeun, who left the MCU project earlier this year due to strike-related delays.

While Marvel Studios has not officially confirmed that Pullman is playing Sentry in Thunderbolts*, it's been widely known among MCU fans that the fan-favorite character will have a significant part in the upcoming film.

In a recent interview on Josh Horowitz's Happy Sad Confused podcast, Pullman was asked about joining the MCU in Thunderbolts* and the rumors surrounding his reported role of Sentry.

However, the actor gave an ambiguous response as he described the MCU as a "beautiful world" to become part of.

"You know, I think the MCU is always something that I've watched and felt like is a beautiful world that is kind of untouchable," the Top Gun: Maverick actor said.

"I think there is something about joining that world that is similar to probably joining television which is like whenever somebody joins in, you want it to be a character you can live in for a long time and an aspect of the world you want to be in."

When Horowitz showed a picture of Sentry, Pullman laughed and responded, "What's that? What a beautiful costume. Look at those locks, my God."

It is likely that Pullman was just being careful which is why he remained coy in his response despite the public knowledge regarding his involvement in Thunderbolts*.

Nevertheless, it is still an intriguing response from the actor and it adds up to the speculation surrounding his rumored casting as Sentry as it gives fans more to theorize and discuss in anticipation of the film's release next year.

Thunderbolts* is scheduled for release in theaters on May 5, 2025.
