Black Widow continues to look like another surprisingly good installment in the MCU since most people figured that they wouldn't care about a movie about Natasha since we all know what will happen to her. Even with us knowing her Avengers: Endgame fate, the trailers have succeeded in giving fans a fun, action-packed movie that will get us to care about Natasha and her family. Maybe even Taskmaster, whoever he ends up being.
As we wait for the movie to come out, it's interesting to note that the movie's screenplay was written by only one person. At the end of the trailer, it's revealed that Thor: Ragnarok writer Eric Pearson is solely responsible for the screenplay. That's actually fairly surprising since previous reports have claimed that Jac Schaeffer and Ned Benson were responsible for the screenplay, though this trailer suggests that Pearson gets the credit, though Schaeffer and Benson do get "story by" credits.
Considering how well-received Thor: Ragnarok was, this should be a good indication of the film's quality, though we should wait before making any judgments. While Ragnarok was a really fun movie with some of the MCU's best comedy, Black Widow is more of a spy film with some family drama here and there.
Fans will be able to watch Black Widow in cinemas on May 1.
