Thor: Ragnarok to See Familiar Monster Based on Director’s Tease

Thor: Ragnarok is still quietly filming in Australia, but fans already have some hints as to what they can expect from the third title in the Thor solo trilogy.

If a new teaser in Instagram from director Taika Waititi provides any face value clue, it's possible that we'll be seeing a previously defeated monster coming back for another round.

Fans may remember Korg as that Goliath-like rock specimen who was supposed to beat Thor to a pulp. Sadly, Thor and his Mjolnir had other plans, making quick work of the Korg before you can even say "Kronan!"

Korg has quite the darker history, so perhaps bringing him back will redeem him from that very sad minute of fame he had with Thor's Hammer. It also makes sense to have Korg in Thor: Ragnarok, considering how it will see Hulk as part of its storyline in some way.

Of course, fans were also firing away at their speculation canons. Some are already asking if it was, indeed, Korg the Kronan. There is one who brings up the interesting fact that Sam Neill may be portraying Korg. We know that Neill had already revealed that had a short stint shot for Thor: Ragnarok, but did not reveal what his character was.

What are your speculations for Thor: Ragnarok? Is Korg coming back a yay or a nay?

Thor: Ragnarok will be out in theaters on Oct. 25, 2017.
