Valkyrie is easily one of the best characters from the Thor film franchise but for years, she has always been portrayed as a wildcard. In Avengers: Endgame, she proved to be a pretty valuable ally when she joined the Earth's Mightiest Heroes to even the odds against Thanos and his army. Her great display of valor would later lead her to an upgraded role as the new King of Asgard.
Actress Tessa Thompson is set to reprise the role in Thor: Love and Thunder and while we still know very little about the film, it would be safe to assume that Valkyrie will be getting plenty of screentime this time around compared to her previous MCU outings.
In a recent interview with W Magazine, Tessa talked about her upgraded role in Thor: Love and Thunder and teased what fans can expect from Valkyrie. Turns out, the official ruler of New Asgard will gain new abilities that will be showcased in the film.
Thompson explains: "She has weird skills, to be honest. She can sense when someone is close to death, and she takes them into Valhalla, which is essentially the afterlife. She can revive people. But when she revives people, sometimes she ends up in their bodies. It's a weird thing. It can be quite erotic. And then she has superhuman strength and is essentially God."

It'll be interesting to see if the film actually explores how Valkyrie got her new powers but I guess that's just part of the perks of being the new King of Asgard. Love and Thunder is already shaping up to be one heck of a rollercoaster ride and I'm excited to see what goes down.
