Thor: Love and Thunder Star Tessa Thompson Teases Valkyrie Spin-Off

One of the best things about Thor: Love and Thunder is the return of King Valkyrie, who is always perfectly played by Tessa Thompson. So what are the chances that we'll get to see more of this strong and powerful female character again in the future? Although her future isn't set just yet, Thompson is always ready to return as Valkyrie in any possible way, perhaps even in a spin-off project!

Valkyrie was first introduced in Thor: Ragnarok where she was initially referred to as Scrapper 142 but the God of Thunder immediately recognized who she was. Since then, she has been working with Thor and has been declared the king of New Asgard. It's a role that the Asgardian has proven to be very good at considering that the kingdom is thriving, as seen in Thor: Love and Thunder.

While we're loving Valkyrie's return in the latest MCU movie, we're also hoping she will continue to play a larger role in the future. So it's no surprise when Tessa Thompson was asked by Extra if a Valkyrie spin-off is in the works and she was quick to point out that she would be more than happy to work on it.

"I don't know," Thompson said when asked about a possible Valkyrie spin-off. She then added, "I love playing the character so any chance I get to play her in any form, I'm happy to."

For now, the Valkyrie spin-off project has not yet been confirmed but Thor: Love and Thunder director Taika Waititi seems to love the idea as well. The filmmaker had previously stated that Valkyrie is the one character who deserves her own project although he also said Korg should get their own show.

Thor: Love and Thunder is now screening in theaters around the globe.
