Taika Waititi Wants Valkyrie and Korg to Get Spin-Offs After Thor: Love and Thunder

We're only two weeks away from the premiere of Thor: Love and Thunder but fans are already wondering when they'll see the characters again in the future. Interestingly, that's also what Taika Waititi is wondering and he's already hoping that Valkyrie and Korg will get their own spin-off projects in the Marvel Cinematic Universe!

Valkyrie and Korg are two of the characters who were introduced in Thor: Ragnarok who would eventually become some of the beloved characters in the MCU. Luckily, both characters are returning in Thor: Love and Thunder but it looks like Taika Waititi is hoping for even bigger things for the two.

Taika Waititi recently spoke to Fandom where he was asked what he would want for the Thor: Love and Thunder spin-off projects. Interestingly, Waititi wanted to see the characters he himself introduced to the MCU to get their own spin-offs.

"I'd love to see a Valkyrie spinoff," said Waititi. "A Korg spinoff would be good as well."

We're loving the idea of both Valkyrie and Korg getting their own projects. After all, there is still so much about these characters that we could learn. With that in mind, we would love to see these two getting their own TV show or movie in the future.

Valkyrie and Korg have gone a long way since they debuted in Thor: Ragnarok. Both appeared in Avengers: Endgame and even joined the climactic battle of the movie. These characters certainly deserve more and we're hoping that Marvel Studios agrees that Valkyrie and Korg's story should be explored even further.

Thor: Love and Thunder is directed by Taika Waititi who also plays Korg in the film. The movie stars Chris Hemsworth, Natalie Portman, Tessa Thompson, Chris Pratt, Pom Klementieff, Dave Bautista, Karen Gillan, and Christian Bale. The film will premiere on July 8, 2022.
