The closing moments of Avengers: Endgame served as a true changing of the guard in the Marvel Cinematic Universe as the mighty Thor himself has handed over the reins to Valkyrie as the official ruler of New Asgard. With Odinson joining the Guardians of the Galaxy in their quest, this of course leaves Tessa Thompson's character with a massive upgrade, something that has excited the entire Marvel fandom.
Months prior to the release of the highly anticipated Thor: Love and Thunder, we haven't really gotten ourselves anything official from the upcoming film, apart from several behind-the-scenes images and an alleged poster that made the rounds online last month.
Now, a recent BTS image of Thompson wearing her new Asgardian armor has found its way online. The new costume is night and day compared to the one she previously sported and actually shares a striking resemblance to Thor's armor. What's even more impressive is the actress' phenomenal physical condition and there's clearly no doubt that Valkyrie is ready to take over. Check out the awesome image here.

We're still being kept in the dark regarding the release of Thor: Love and Thunder's first trailer but considering the project is Marvel Studios' second offering for 2022, it would be safe to assume that we'll get ourselves our very first look at the film sometime in Spring.
Things are also looking quite enormous for the project with the involvement of the Guardians, Gorr the God Butcher, and the returning Jane Foster and it'll be interesting to see how Taika Waititi managed to squeeze in their respective arcs in the film.
Thor: Love and Thunder will hit cinemas this July.
