We're loving the idea of Crowe being a part of the MCU and he would be a welcome addition to the franchise. Crowe had previously played Superman's father Jor-El in Man of Steel. For now, we're not sure who he is playing in the Love and Thunder and there is a possibility that his appearance will be a small cameo.

Love and Thunder had previously cast Christian Bale, who is also an Oscar winner. Bale has been confirmed to play the villainous Gorr the God-Butcher in the MCU series.

Thor: Love and Thunder is directed by Taika Waititi and is currently in production. The film is scheduled for release on May 6. 2022.
