There Is No Goo Pil Soo shared the first look of HIGHLIGHT Yoon Doojoon’s character as a young entrepreneur in the drama.
Long before its release date, There Is No Goo Pil Soo has already been making noises as it chose HIGHLIGHT’s Yoon Doo Joon as its main star. The new K-drama will serve as the K-pop idol’s first TV appearance since his discharge from the military in 2020.
He will play Jung Seok’s role, a young entrepreneur who chases his dreams despite the challenges in his life.
KT Studio Genie showed the first look of Yoon Doojoon’s character in new stills for the K-drama.

Yoon Doojoon Is Striving Young Entrepreneur In There Is No Goo Pil Soo
In the upcoming drama, Yoon Doojoon’s Jung Seok thinks he will have a fruitful life as a young entrepreneur. However, he encounters the biggest obstacle in his life yet when his father’s company suddenly announces bankruptcy.
Amid the changes in his life, he finds comfort in his app Neighborhood Friend 24 which he developed. He soon meets Kwak Do Kwon’s Goo Pil Soo, who brings changes in his life.

In the newly released stills, Yoon Doojoon can be seen presenting his business proposals as he points toward the screen. Another photo captures his whole image as he spots a casual outfit and employee ID card.
“Jung Seok is a character who symbolizes the spirit of a person in their 20s who entered the fierce first half of their life. Please pay lots of attention to Jung Seok, who will be created with Yoon Doojoon’s passion for acting,” the production team said.
Fortunately, it was not only the There Is No Goo Pil Soo team who saw Yoon Doojoon’s capacity as an actor.
Yoon Doojoon Receives Offer From Ildangbaek Butler
Aside from There Is No Goo Pil Soo, the HIGHLIGHT leader has also been tapped with Hyeri to star in a new fantasy drama.
Sports Chosun (via Naver) confirmed that the idol-turned-actor received an offer to appear in the drama. Once he accepts the offer, he would play Butler Kim’s character, who runs errands at 100 KRW.
Girl’s Day Hyeri also scored an offer to play the role of Baek Dong Joo, a table tennis player who grew up to become a funeral director.
