Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) is a legacy character on The Young and the Restless. Adam has left and returned to Genoa City numerous times since 2014. Fans are now wondering if he'll leave again.

Many actors, including Justin Hartley, have played Adam on Y&R. Following Hartley's departure in 2016, it took producers some time to find a replacement. However, they struck gold with Grossman, who made his debut in May 2019.

Is Mark Grossman Leaving The Young and the Restless?

Grossman had large shoes to fill, but he rapidly won over fans and critics. His performance as the redeemed villain has garnered him a Daytime Emmy nomination for Supporting Actor in 2020. However, Grossman's future on the show has been called into question in recent weeks.

Soap Dirt reports that there are rumors that Grossman and the show haven't reached an agreement on a new contract. Although Grossman's situation has not been officially confirmed, many are concerned that he and his character may retire.

Fans of The Young and the Restless are enjoying Adam's storyline as they wait for news on Grossman's condition. Adam wrecked his family when he moved to Genoa City in 2008. Adam and his father have always had a love-hate relationship. While Victor welcomed him, other family members weren't as hospitable.

Adam hurt many people, including his ex-wives Sharon Newman (Sharon Case) and Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan). However, Adam is a lost boy searching for love and acceptance. Fans can't get enough of Adam, whether he's a villain or a hero.

He's gone from being one of the most despised to a beloved character. Many fans feel that Adam is the best of the Newmans and brings the most excitement. There would be no program without Adam and no credible antagonist for the Newman family.

What Will Happen to Adam Newman?

Adam is involved in a significant plot on The Young and the Restless. Adam was finally named the CEO of Newman Enterprises after years of being passed over. Adam was happy that his perseverance and diligence had paid off and that the family had eventually trusted him to take over the business. Adam's new position didn't last very long, though.

Adam is out for vengeance, and he'll find an ally in Ashland. He wants vengeance on the Newmans for screwing him over. They'll give the Newmans a taste of their own medicine with the two masterminds working together.

Adam's latest strategy, however, may imperil his relationship with Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope). He and Sally have both worked hard to improve their situations. Will Sally stay or leave Adam now that he has reverted to his bad boy side?
