The World's Finest Assassin returned for another week. This week's episode was enjoyable but didn't do very much to advance the plot. Rather, it focused on Lugh's life with the girls he has recruited, shedding light on both Torte and Maha.
Based on a light novel written by Tsukiyo Rui and illustrated by Reia, The World's Finest Assassin offers a twist to your typical isekai by having an already extremely competent - and deadly! - character reincarnated in another world. In his mission to defeat a very powerful hero who is destined to destroy the world, he's now accompanied by Dia, Torte, and Maha.

The World's Finest Assassin Anime Episode 8 Recap
In the most recent episode, Lugh and his father discuss the former's future. Interestingly, while Lugh's father is unaware of the fact, Lugh had to become an assassin in this life as well, due to his promise to the goddess.
Fans can't decide which of the three girls accompanying Lugh they prefer, but this episode gave time to all. Torte is trying different weapons, Maha shares her backstory and motivation to retrieve her father's first shop, and Dia gets a confession from the main character.
The next episode will hopefully see the main mission back on track, with more interesting and active screen time for all!
The World's Finest Assassin Anime Episode 9 Release Date
The release date for The World's Finest Assassin Episode 9 is Wednesday, December 1, both in Japan and elsewhere. The episode title will be "Compensation of Assassination."
For the time being, Episode 9 of the 12-episode anime will be available to watch online with English subtitles only, but this will change soon! Since the 24th of November, the English dub has also been airing, with a new episode each week. Meanwhile, the subtitles are available in many languages apart from English.
