The Witcher Showrunner Shares A New Image Of The Show’s Set

Netflix has been releasing a lot of interesting content from its upcoming live-action adaptation of The Witcher books. Not only has the studio released a make-up test of Henry Cavill as The Witcher's new Geralt of Rivia, but it also looks like the series' showrunner Lauren Hissrich decided to give away a new image that gives fans a new look at the set of the upcoming series.

Though the photo is a little bit blurry, Witcher fans get to catch a few interesting details in the image Hissrich decided to post on Instagram. Writing about her time spent working on the series, "Sun setting on set," the showrunner's photo showcases the production team hard at work with a trailer in the middle of everything.

It's a pretty decent photo. Not only does it give fans a look at the set, but it also shows just how much effort the production team is putting into the creation of the series. Feedback on this image has been mostly positive, with some Instagram users wondering whether the shoot is taking place in Hungary and others wishing that they could have been on set for themselves.

This comes as a stark contrast to the reception towards Cavill's makeup test as Geralt of Rivia. While some fans couldn't help but gush at the Man of Steel's new look, others felt a bit disappointed, calling Cavill a younger version of The Lord of the Rings' Legolas instead of Geralt. Of course, while Cavill looks a bit cleaner than some might have expected, Netflix is adapting The Witcher books, and so as an origin series, it would make sense for us to see a younger Geralt at the start of the show.
