The Witcher: Graphic Artist Creates A Grittier Version Of Henry Cavill’s Geralt

Earlier today Netflix dropped the very first teaser showcasing Henry Cavill as the site's new Geralt of Rivia for its new The Witcher series. While some fans immediately gushed about how they loved the Man of Steel's new look, others couldn't help but complain about how Cavill looked so much like an older version of The Lord of the Rings' Legolas instead of the Geralt of Rivia they've come to know in the video games.

Of course, it's perfectly natural for Cavill to look the same way he does knowing that Netflix is basing their series on The Witcher books and not the games, however, to calm down the fanbase, pop culture graphic artist decided to work some of his magic on Cavill's Geralt.

Using the mighty powers of photoshop editing, BossLogic created a gruffer and more worn version of Cavill's Geralt.

Adding in a bit of grit to Cavill's handsomely clean face, BossLogic's artwork helps appease the fanbase as they go on rallying against the DC Extended Universe star's new look as Netflix's Geralt of Rivia. Of course, before they head over to the picket fence, fans ought to remember that The Witcher series is based on the books and set in a time years and years before the third video game – before Geralt put on a beard. Knowing this, it would be understandable that Geralt would look a whole lot younger with a fresh face on him.

Besides, fans haven't even seen Cavill acting as Geralt yet. The teaser was simply a makeup test. The Man of Steel could be infinitely better when fans get to see him in a proper teaser video.

The Witcher series has yet to receive a release date, however, we'll update everyone as soon as we get word.
