The Witcher Season 2 Trailer Features Ciri Fighting Alongside Geralt

Princess Cirilla of Cintra has spent most of the first season of The Witcher running away. However, things are about to change this year. The new trailer for The Witcher Season 2 shows Ciri finally getting into the action and joining Geralt of Rivia in an epic fight.

The latest trailer for The Witcher Season 2 opens with Geralt in a river watching as a flying creature hovers above him. "Something has changed, Geralt," Nivellen tells him. "The world's acting strange these days."

But what's wrong with the world? It is confirmed that the North and South are still at war. However, monsters are reportedly roaming the land when they should be hibernating. "Maybe it's the end of days," Nivellen muses. "I've lived through three supposed 'end of days,'" Geralt declares. "It's all horseshit."

He might be right but there's still a lot going on in The Witcher Season 2 trailer that could confirm that the end of the days is almost here. Ciri herself isn't ready to give up on the Continent. "It's my home, my fight," she declares.

There is no shortage of action as Geralt takes on monsters and men alike. On the other hand, we also see some welcome returns. Yennefer finally shows up although it doesn't look like she is safe. Will the White Wolf manage to find her before it's too late? The truth will be revealed later this December.

We're still not sure if Yennefer will be reunited with Geralt but there's one awesome reunion in the trailer. Geralt finally tracks down Jaskier and asks him for his help. Although the bard is initially unsure about it, he decides to join his old friend and says goodbye to some new ones.

The Witcher Season 2 will bring back Henry Cavill, Freya Allan, Anya Chalotra, and Joey Batey. The series returns on Netflix on December 17, 2021.
