It's time to toss a coin to the Witcher, or maybe his new young companion. The first teaser for The Witcher Season 2 has just been dropped and it hints at Princess Ciri's destiny.
The teaser was dropped during Day 5 of Netflix Geeked and it comes at an awesome time. After all, fans have been waiting for a teaser for The Witcher Season 2 for some time now.
It's no secret that Ciri is one of the most important characters in The Witcher. However, we only got a glimpse at what the young princess is capable of in the first season. Luckily, the Witcher Season 2 teaser puts the focus on Ciri which means that the second season could be mostly about her.
The teaser opens with Ciri sitting under a tree. At one point, she declares that she wants to understand. Could the young princess be in danger or is she the one who will bring peril to those around her?
Interestingly, Geralt of Rivia is notably absent from the new teaser. However, that doesn't mean that Henry Cavill will no longer play a major role in the series. Instead, it's a possible confirmation that Ciri will get the necessary training to control her power and embrace her own destiny.
The Witcher Season 2 will also bring back Freya Allan as Ciri and Anya Chalotra as Yennefer. The second season has not yet been given an official release date. However, it is already expected to premiere on Netflix in late 2021.
