The Witcher Season 2 Reportedly Adds Queen Meve

There is little doubt that we will be meeting new characters in The Witcher Season 2. So is it possible that we'll finally get to see Queen Meve in action? A new report reveals that the Netflix series has already cast the Queen of Lyria and Rivia.

According to Redanian Intelligence, Scottish actress Rebecca Hanssen has been cast as Meve in the second season of The Witcher. Although it was not revealed whether Hanssen will be joining the main cast, the report also confirmed that she is expected to appear in multiple episodes directed by Sarah O'Gorman and Ed Bazalgette, who have been tasked with Episodes 3-4 and 5&8 respectively.

Meve's arrival is certainly a welcome one for fans of Andrzej Sapkowski's novels. In the books, the Queen of Lyria and Rivia led guerrillas into many battles wearing her iconic white armor when the Second Nilfgaard War broke out. Her several fights left her face scarred and she would later serve one of the negotiators of the peace treaty when the war is over.

Hanssen's casting is also an interesting one considering that she had previously appeared in Enola Holmes with Henry Cavill. In addition to that, she is currently working on the upcoming role-playing game Baldur's Gate III.

We're already loving the idea that Hanssen will appear as Queen Meve in The Witcher Season 2. However, it is also important to point out that the casting has not yet been confirmed by Netflix. With that in mind, it is best to take it with a grain of salt until an official announcement is made.
