The Witcher: Henry Cavill Shares Awesome New Photo Of Geralt

It's official: The Witcher Season 2 is happening and Henry Cavill is celebrating by sharing a never-before-seen image of Geralt of Rivia.

Cavill shared the photo on his official Instagram account along with a celebratory message about The Witcher Season 2. Check it out below.

"As you may have heard, Season 2 of The Witcher has been announced! To mark the occasion I thought I'd share one of my favourite shots from my Season 1 personal collection," Cavill wrote before adding the hashtags #Geralt, #TheWitcher, #Season2, and #Netflix.

The picture doesn't really show much but it might be the first time we get to see Geralt with his cloak on. The image also shows off the yellow eyes quite clearly. Needless to say, we can't wait to see Cavill in action this December.

We're loving the idea that The Witcher Season 2 has been greenlighted. After all, showrunner Lauren S. Hissrich has previously confirmed that she has already mapped out seven seasons of the upcoming Netflix series. Hopefully, we'll get to see all of Hissrich's plans for the show in the future.

The Witcher also stars Anya Chalotra as Yennefer of Vengerberg and Freya Allen as Princess Ciri.

The synopsis for The Witcher reads as follows:

The Witcher follows the story of Geralt of Rivia, a solitary monster hunter, who struggles to find his place in a world where people often prove more wicked than beasts. But when destiny hurtles him toward a powerful sorceress, and a young princess with a dangerous secret, the three must learn to navigate the increasingly volatile Continent together.

Catch The Witcher on Netflix on December 20.
