It's going to be a very long wait for the next season of The Witcher. In the meantime, fans are looking for new ways to make the wait more enjoyable. For instance, someone decided to create a fan video where Geralt of Rivia somehow comes across the One Ring from Lord of the Rings.
The video was shared on Reddit and it features the impressive action sequence from The Witcher where Geralt takes on the Kikimore in a swamp. At one point, the White Wolf gets submerged underwater and struggles to find his sword. But instead of his sword, he finds something very different. You can watch the full video below.

It's a cool crossover that makes us wonder what could have happened if Geralt comes across a completely different item at the bottom of the swamp. Would he prove to be a worthy holder of the One Ring or will it immediately corrupt him? Also, it's an awesome reminder that we will be seeing a new Lord of the Rings series really soon.
For now, there aren't a lot of updates about the Lord of the Rings show that will air on Amazon. However, fans can rest assured that there will be a second season of The Witcher and it's already being developed right now.
The second season of The Witcher is expected to begin production in mid-2020 and will air next year. In the meantime, you can still stream the show's Season 1 on Netflix.
