A new Cyberpunk 2077 mod introduces a third-person perspective option of the game that The Witcher 3 fans are looking for. Players of the game can now enjoy playing Cyberpunk 2077 in the perspective of a third-person aside from the first-person perspective that disappointed many of The Witcher 3 fans. This would potentially increase the number of players who are not fond of first-person perspective games.
Cyberpunk 2077 was first announced by CD Projekt Red in 2013 but did not release the game until 2018 as they waited for the release of The Witcher 3 in 2015. The fans were surprised with the first-person perspective of the game and it became controversial. Fans and players were disappointed about the first-person perspective of the game. After the release of The Witcher:3 Wild Hunt, fans of Cyberpunk 2077 got to see that CD Projekt can execute a great game with a third-person perspective.
The new mod of Cyberpunk 2077 now allows the players to play the whole game in a third-person perspective, although there is still room for improvement and polishing. Given that the game was created as a first-person perspective game, some animations are still out of sync or would require a higher frame rate than usual such as when the character is walking or running, it seems as if the character is sliding or gliding. The perspective also seems like the player is a shadow of the character, not the character itself, as the perspective only follows wherever the character goes.
Cyberpunk 2077 lets the players venture as a megalopolis in the Night City, an outlaw searching for the key to immortality. Players can customize their characters with different skills, cyberware, and even their playstyle.
Cyberpunk 2077 is available on PC Xbox One, Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S PS4, PS5, and Google Stadia.
