The Witch: Part 2. The Other One, follows the story of a young girl who manages to escape a secret laboratory. She is the only one who survived the accident that damaged the whole place. Several forces with different objectives start the hunt to chase the young girl.
It continues the story after Kim Da Mi’s Ja Yoon, a female high school student who was trained to become a murder weapon, received medical experiments until she suffered due to an identity crisis.
Four years after the first movie was released, the new installment made a record-breaking feat by surpassing its predecessor.

The Witch: Part 2. The Other One Sets New Record
The Korean Film Council recently released a report confirming The Witch: Part 2. The Other One officially surpassed one million moviegoers at the box office.
The new movie reached the feat on June 18 at 6:05 p.m. KST. Aside from breaking the record earlier than expected, it also surpassed The Witch: Part 1. The Subversion’s record.

The first film notably reached the mark four days more than the new installment — it took the first movie six days to hit one million moviegoers.
The Witch: Part 2. The Other One also managed to maintain its No. 1 spot in the South Korean box office for four consecutive days since its release on June 15 despite having close competition against other hit films, The Outlaws 2 and Broker.

The Witch: Part 2. The Other One made the feat possible with the help of its cast members.
Kim da Mi and Jo Min Soo returned to reprise their roles. Meanwhile, new cast members included the lead star Shin Si Ah and other stars like Park Eun Bin, Seo Eun Soo, Jin Goo, and Sung Yoo Bin.
While You Were Sleeping and W actor Lee Jong Suk also made a special appearance.
