The Walking Dead Star Austin Amelio Addresses Dwight's FTWD Crossover

It has recently been confirmed that The Walking Dead character Dwight will be crossing over to the successful spin-off series Fear The Walking Dead. Now Austin Amelio has spoken out about his character's move to the other AMC series.

Amelio recently made an appearance at Wizard World New Orleans where he addressed Dwight's move to FTWD (via ComicBook.com). The TWD actor expressed excitement about the crossover.

"I get to have a consistent job and work with amazing people. There's too many memories to expand upon. For some reason, Dwight keeps getting blessed with the best of both worlds," Amelio said.

"I got to work with actors from Alexandria and the Saviors. Now I get to work with actors from Fear the Walking Dead. After a year and two months of being a really good secret keeper, that's really exciting, I get to work with everybody in this world. I feel really blessed."

Dwight isn't the only character who will make the move to Fear The Walking Dead. Lennie James' Morgan is currently one of the major figures in the series after the character was introduced in FTWD Season 4. Needless to say, it will be interesting to see what will happen when Dwight and Morgan are reunited in the new show.

Dwight started out as a random character who got help from Daryl Dixon in The Walking Dead Season 6. Since then, he has turned into a villain and eventually an ally to the Alexandrians on the show. We're certainly looking forward to more of Dwight in Fear The Walking Dead.

Amelio is set to join the cast of Fear The Walking Dead Season 5, which airs on AMC later this year.
