The Walking Dead Season 7 February Premiere Date Revealed

AMC has announced that The Walking Dead will return on Feb. 12, 2017 for the remainder of its season 7 run.

It will air on Sunday as a U.S. premiere, while those watching the show internationally can expect it the day after on Feb. 13, 2017. This seems like the same timeslot for the show when it aired the first half of the season, Independent reported.

Executive Producer Gale Anne Hurd has teased fans a bit on what they can expect once the show returns, the uprising against Negan's tyranny will begin. Of course, there are still reservations among fans, as evidence by the fact that The Walking Dead's mid-season finale, despite its relatively better run compared to the season's episodes, still suffered major decline in viewership.

According to the numbers, the mid-season's finale may be among the lowest. And for some fans, it's Negan who's to blame for the rather inconsistent season.

I have to say, there is some truth to this. We've seen him marketed as the meanest villain, but so far, all we've seen is a rather talkative bully who moves like a self-conscious cartoon. He's seen better days particularly for the last two episodes, but this transformation should be the start of better days ahead. Because we are looking at season 8 full of Negan.

Whether or not the showrunners will prove that The Walking Dead is far from the grave as a series remains to be seen. For now, you can check out the latest teaser for the upcoming second half of season 7—is it enough of a promise for a game-changer season?
